Our story
Sandre Commodities was established in 2010, rooted in our family farm that spans three generations. Our journey began with the cultivation of various commodities such as maize, sunflower, soybeans, ground nuts, and sheep farming, all of which have been nurtured with utmost care and dedication.
Andre Snyman, our founder, embarked on his trading career in 2004 after graduating from North West University. While actively trading for himself, he simultaneously pursued full-time trading while managing our farm in 2014.
Our headquarters in Schweizer Reneke became the hub of our operations, collaborating with BVG. As we successfully traded on behalf of farmers in North West, our company expanded in 2020, venturing into the buying and selling of physical maize.
In early 2023 Andre partnered with Nomathemba Sibanda in pursuit of growth in various agricultural spaces regionally and internationally.
Since 2023 we have grown to exporting atleast 12,000 tons of maize into Zimbabwe from South Africa, which accounts for 10% of the total maize exported from South Africa to Zimbabwe per month. Our excellent relationship management with which we handle our stakeholders puts us ahead of the market.
In 2024 we expanded into agro-processing through Sunshine Milling and we have been dominant in the Southern region of Zimbabwe.
We also source high-quality minerals in Africa, connecting resources with markets worldwide. Our expertise spans a wide range of minerals, including Chrome (lumpy and concentrate), Copper Ore, Coal, Lithium and Gold.
At Sandre Commodities our primary objective is to add value to our clients' businesses by sourcing commodities directly from across Africa. We specialise in sourcing minerals, maize, soybeans, sunflower, sugar beans, wheat, and sorghum. Over the years, we have developed a robust logistical network.
